Anibal Katayama: hi
Branden Round: The Title to the car, signed by the seller. Then the DMV will give you the reg. Plates take about 6 weeks. I'm guessing you bought this from a private party otherwise the dealer would have done all of this for you. Can you give more specifics?
Charline Granes: It's instant, providing you have everything they want. Proof of ownership - title, velid in good standing license, proof of insurance, and if new to you - bill of sale. You can get all the DMV forms online at your states DMV site. Bring a book - you may have to wait in line. Google: department of motor vehicles, "your state" - then check out the site it will give you a list of everything in case I've missed something.
Jorge Gerrero: Usually if you have all the required documentation, you will have your registration and plates before you leave the license branch. The title will be sent to you and they usually take 2 to 6 weeks depending on the state.Bring (as! suming the old title was issued in your state):A clear signed title, proof of insurance, proof of address (utility bill that was mailed to you),your drivers license, proof of vehicle inspection (if your location requires it),and payment. But call the DMV office and ask they will be able to tell you....Show more
Rocio Karvis: it depends on what state your in and if your getting a regular tag. it normally takes about 30 mins. driver's license proof of insurance and the title and cash or check or credit card
