Painting a car, you need to start by fixing any rust you may have a the body, sand all the rust off and if you have to make a hole use some fiberglass that you can get at auto zone. Sand the all of the paint (you don't need to take all of the paint off) with 200 and 400 grit sand paper so the new paint will stick, and if you are going to go with a new color paint you will need to use a primer. Get a good spray gun that you can get at Lows for $50 to $200. and if you do not have a air compresser you can rent one from Lows too. You can get paint from Napa its going to cost $300 and they will help you get all of the things that you are going to need to go with the paint, like the hardner and thinners. Dont for get a good mask because you do not want to breath in the paint. You are going to need a clean place to paint the car where nothing can land on the paint when it is wet, like a bug or dust, they are a bitc h to fix after they ge! t in the paint. Tape all of the glass, lights and wheels off. and paint. Do a test peace befor you do the car so you know a little about how its going to work.
