Lashawnda Anteby: As stated, it really depends on what your website is & what it does. If written and used correctly, your website's terms & conditions can protect you legally. However, I suspect most website owners don't use them correctly, so if they were ever sued for something, their terms wouldn't protect them.Based on experience, though, if you're selling digital products / information, force users to accept your terms before they can pay. While I think you may be fine without them, they're nice to have anyway just to outline the rules & such of your site. But, if you're only running a personal blog - it's less likely to be necessary unless it becomes popular... people do like to sue over stupid stuff nowadays....Show more
Stanton Villao: Depends, what is your website offering, what are you requesting of your visitors, will your site contain copyrighted material? If your just running a blog you should be fine, but if your running any kind of service some b! asic terms and conditions might save you some hassles if someone sues you for whatever reason.
Darcie Peraha: Terms and Conditions of use are usually used either when you're using your website commercially, (selling or offering goods or services), have adult content, or have a Forum section. In that case, it's very important to have 'Iron Clad" terms and conditions. As you decided not to provide information as to what kind of website you have, I cannot address your issue further....Show more
