Legal problems with my dads employee?

Abby Herwood: I am a little confused.I get the part that the guy quit, I get the part where he said 'oh by the way', I hurt myself a few days ago and forgot to tell you about it until the day I quit.'I get the part that he 'allegedly' went to a doctor. Here is the part that I am confused about. So the doctor calls your dad and tells your dad that he has to pay all the medical bills that this guy racked up after 'allegedly' injuring himself at work, if your dad doesn't pay, then the DOCTOR will sue your Dad? Did your Dad authorize the treatment? Did the doctors office call anyone at your dad's company to even VERIFY that this guy was an employee? Did the doctors office accept this guy as a patient, after he quit? Knowing he was no longer an employee? If not, then when the doctors office calls again, tell them to pound sand....Show more

Wilfredo Muldoon: Stolen equipment and workman's comp are completely unrelated. Each of them can pursue the issues. He needs to contact! his workman's comp provider and let them handle it. That is what he pays them for.
