Sharie Sommerville: I spend LOTS of time in amusement parks every summer. I'm noticing more and more that they're almost always very very crowded. It's like the choices are crowded or insane crowded. I think there's just too many darn people!!!If there is a water park in the amusement park you're going to, I think you'll notice that during the day, more people are in the water park ... leaving shorter lines for the coasters and other rides. Then later in the day, like 4 or 5:00, many people quit the water rides, and do the other rides. It's true that families with small kids might leave "early", but I'm guessing you weren't in the same lines they were anyway. I always suggest getting to a park as early as possible. You can always take breaks if you need to. But if you happen to get stuck there on a particularly busy day, you don't want to get there late in the afternoon, pay that much to get in and find you're only going to get 4 or 5 rides. It's not uncommon to wai! t an hour for a ride on a busy day. (I waited for 4 hours at Cedar Point the year Millennium Force opened. That was a very expensive - but excellent - ride!)Lots of parks have 2 day passes / tickets. I'll sometimes go for an evening, then a full day. Basically, it's a crap shoot. I hope you get lucky....Show more
Marti Declue: In my experience, parks do slow down around that time of day. It is true that families that arrived at park opening are getting tired and may leave or take a break from riding to shop or eat. In the case of parks with hotels, that is usually the rest time for families to go back to their rooms, nap, freshen up, eat, and get ready for the night hours. The most I have ever gotten out of a park is in the late afternoon, evening, and night hours, especially during the week, not weekends. Hope this helps you. :)...Show more
Dallas Bartolini: Yes, because most of the people with little kids take them home because they are tired and gett! ing crabby. 3-10 would be perfect. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!
Idell Syed: not... that time is THE rush hour it probably ends around 7 and starts around 1
Marvel Mcaulay: No, around five thirty-ish is when it is the best time to go. Some parks give you a discount if you enter the park after 5:00 PM.
Lyman Gauld: Absolutely. At least that's how it is at the water park i go to. People usually go there and bring their lunch, and then 3 hours is the magic numer when most of those people leave. After 3 is when it really gets into the hot afternoon, and is the time when most people who came earlier have had their fun and leave. So you are in luck.
