Nestor Klan: I was divorced for 4 1/2 years and then got remarried again. I have been married for almost 5 years this time. I have three children and they are grown and on their own.
Abby Herwood: I guess it depends on how you define lasting. After divorce number one it took a couple years before I found somone I wanted to be with - and unfortunitly made the same mistake a second time. After my second divorce I met someone about a year after and ended up getting married again for a third time. We were together five years before we married but alas that did not last but 3.5 years. Bingo divorce number 3. I did not even date for a year after that one but am now in a relationship that has lasted two years (known each other for 5 ish) I am NOT getting married again. But everyone is different. Depending upon you situation, you may need time to heal or time to learn about yourself. I think to many people jump into a relationship to soon after they divorce. BTW two o! ut of three ex-wives came back wanting to be with me again. After they found out that marriage life was not that bad afterall. Needless to say - I said no, no, no!...Show more
Patrick Bitsui: I've been divorced almost 7 years and I'm still alone. By choice. I might prefer it. My ex found someone else within a year, that one didn't last but he is with someone else now and has been with her almost three years. Most people do find someone else within a year or two, I 'm just picky.I'm a mom of 4, only two left at home....Show more
Soraya Coodey: It is tough to do so if you have children. Because then there are all sorts of other things you have to deal with. If you do not have children, its very easy to find a lasting relationship after divorce. How long after depends on each person and how well they cope with the divorce and their ability to move on.
