Why is Catholic Education important?

Coleman Deliberato: Sorry, you mentioned 'Catholic' and 'Education' in the same sentence.

Rivka Killmer: In getting a Catholic Education one gets the best in all truth that is to be taught in each area of study and the best way to turn for your future studies no matter what field you are seeking later. In secular schools you get what the government wants the children taught and nothing more and most of it will not even be the truth. This is why all religious schools are packed to overflowing right now.-Jesus Christ

Cassondra Vanholland: The Catholic church like many Christian practicing school systems provide to the child or teen a sense of the meaning regarding sin.Sin when properly understood has a great impact on an individuals life style along with how they show virtue and merit toward others.Sadly, the public school system does not provide the above gift which causes great torment to the latter children, they have no concept between right and wrong. The ma! ny gifts of virtues imprinted on Catholic/Christian children during a young age reflect a time period that prevents many unnecessary crimes/mistakes.Having a good moral and ethical outlook as provided above is a blessing, young children gain a better love for one another.Furthermore, the beautiful love of always having Jesus as our "good" shepherd will "always" provide great comfort when we feel low or close to the edge of defeat. Our ability to call upon the Lord as Savior will light a candle in the most darkest place so we can find our way out!Review 2 Timothy 4:7, 8 & 18."I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith" "From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearance" "The Lord will rescue me from every evil threat and will bring me safe to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen." God bless! '...Show more

Terresa Tsasie: It is interesting to consi! der some firsthand accounts indicating the reasons why two ex-Catholics chose another religion.Rosanna C., a young married woman who lives in the province of Parma (northern Italy), says:“I had a peaceful infancy. I received much affection from my parents and had a normal Catholic education. During adolescence, I developed a desire common to many young people: I wanted to make myself useful to God and serve him. This desire was nourished by reading a copy of the Gospel I bought at a bookstall. I had never read it before. What I read made me love Jesus. I realized that he had a message of hope for mankind, even though I did not grasp the meaning of it. I also realized that his disciples must show deep love for God and their fellowman.”Awake!: Were you satisfied with the way you practiced your religion?Rosanna: Not really. When I was 17, I taught catechism to children who were from 10 to 12 years of age. As a member of a Catholic Action youth group, I took part in meeting! s and spiritual meditation. I was very occupied, religiously speaking. But there were two things I didn’t like. The Bible, the book I so deeply respected, was never examined, and in the group I belonged to, there was no real unselfish love or unity. And that was not all. I was also concerned by the fact that a sodomite and a Lesbian were accepted and highly esteemed by the group. One afternoon I just broke down and cried.Awake!: Was it easy for you to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses?Rosanna: No, it certainly wasn’t! When my parents first began receiving visits by Jehovah’s Witnesses, I had no wish to join in. Later, however, impressed by the good manners of the Witnesses, I decided to get to know them and joined in on a Bible discussion with them. This was decisive for me. What most impressed me was the fact that for every objection I raised, they gave me a clear answer from the Bible.Awake!: Did you ask any priests for advice after this conversation?Rosanna: Yes,! several, and a nun. They were not too concerned about helping a ‘los! t sheep.’ After an accurate study of the Bible, in 1977 I symbolized my dedication to Jehovah God with water baptism....Show more

Lulu Bukowiecki: This sounds like homework...

Ricky Frazer: By segregating the genders we can fill the world with emotionally unbalanced sex pests, and we can't let the Muslims take that crown all to themselves. *cough * cough * priests * cough*

Gilberto Cratin: It is an option that has advantages. Public education is also reasonable. I find the vast majority of private school students as lazy and unambitious as the rest of their generation.

Vickie Sterbenz: I could tell you,but then I'd have to kill you.
